In addition to the conventional slip ratio control, the AB-2012 FPS Wear Testing System controls by the frictional force (tangential force) generated between the sample and the abrasive wheel in order to improve the correlation with the actual wear of rubber products. It is a newly developed wear tester that has made it possible.
When performing wear tests on polymer materials used for tires, belts, etc., the Lambourn wear testers and conventional FPS testers use slip ratio control that gives a certain difference in the rotation speed between the sample and the abrasive wheel.
USED IN
In the past, in order to evaluate wear by frictional energy that can correlate with the actual rubber products, it was necessary to obtain and evaluate the frictional energy from the results of the slip ratio control tester under multiple conditions.
This equipment has succeeded in reproducing the conditions of the actual rubber products with higher accuracy by directly controlling the frictional force.
