The Akron Abrasion Tester is one of the abrasion testers that have been widely used. It is used to evaluate abrasion amount through a test by pressing a grindstone to a disc-shaped test piece which is rotating at a specified speed with a slip angle to the grindstone.
USED IN
Akron Abrasion Tester is a widely used abrasion tester. It rotates a disc shaped test piece at a constant speed, to which an abrasion wheel is pressed with a fixed load.
The abrasion wheel is set at an angle to the test piece, and abrasion amount will be observed. The model AB-1511 has a preset counter which will stop testing automatically when a set rotation is reached. The model AB-1530 can set the test piece speed between 75 and 250rpm.
Applicable Standard: JIS K 6264-2 / ISO23794
Test Speed: 75±rpm or 250±5rpm (Test Piece)
Slip Angle: 0 to ±45°
Features:
The simple and rigid design assures high repeatability and low noise for a long period of time.
The optional aluminum core enables testing of samples taken from actual products.
